Welcome Warm Weather

April 26, 2023

Hi, my name is Nina McClellan and I’m WRENs new Social Media and Strategic Communications intern. I moved out to Oregon 5 years ago to attend the University of Oregon. I majored in Marine Biology with a minor in Environmental Studies. In my free time, I enjoy spending time outside hiking, biking, walking, and photographing wildlife, nature, and people.

With the weather warming up and summer right around the corner, flowers are blooming and birds are singing. Today, I spent the afternoon at the West Eugene Wetlands birdwatching and photographing them. I watched the Yellow-rumped warblers zooming through the trees and saw two geese families raising their goslings. Geese are extremely protective of their young, so it’s best to keep your distance from them.
