As a local nonprofit committed to promoting land stewardship of the West Eugene Wetlands and surrounding habitats, Willamette Resources and Educational Network (WREN) understands the urgency to protect and rehabilitate these critical ecosystems. We put together this handbook with all inhabitants of our Willamette River watershed in mind. This handbook is designed to increase knowledge and appreciation of seasonal wetlands and explore how our shared stewardship of native habitats benefits us all. We hope it encourages individuals to take action with their neighbors, local watershed councils, or favorite conservation organization to expand the quantity and quality of functional wetlands.
